Music Experience: Explore Jazz Improv Workshop

The Gordon College Department of Music will be holding a Jazz Improvisation Workshop for high school students with Grammy-nominated tenor saxophonist Mike Tucker.

This free workshop will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 5.30 p.m. - 9:00 pm at the Phillips Music Center on the Gordon College campus - Please register by February 12.

The workshop will focus on building improvisational skills by improving your listening and technical and harmonic vocabulary skills while building confidence playing over various forms and chord changes. All experience levels are welcome. In addition, students will have an opportunity to solo with Mike Tucker and the Gordon College Jazz Ensemble.
